Your Shared Sustainability Manager

Surf smoothly through rapidly evolving reporting requirements !

In a world becoming increasingly conscious of the impact business operations have on the environment and society, it is crucial that companies strive not only for profit but also for a positive contribution to the world. The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) represents a significant leap forward in our collective journey towards a more sustainable future. This new framework sets the stage for more transparent, uniform, and comprehensive reporting of sustainability information, enabling stakeholders—from investors to consumers—to make informed decisions.

Which Companies Are Required to Comply with CSRD Reporting?

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) imposes new obligations on a wide range of companies within the European Union. Below is an overview of the companies that must comply with this reporting requirement:

This includes banks, insurance companies and other organizations considered of major public interest.

Large companies are required to comply with CSRD reporting if they meet at least two of the following three criteria:

- More than 250 employees.

- Annual revenue exceeding €40 million.

- A balance sheet total exceeding €20 million.

All companies listed on a regulated market in the EU are subject to CSRD, regardless of size.

While SMEs are not automatically required to comply with CSRD, it is expected that many will voluntarily participate in sustainability reporting to meet the expectations of investors, customers, and other stakeholders.

The obligations of the CSRD will be introduced gradually, with different deadlines ranging from 2024 to 2026, depending on the specific characteristics and size of the company. By preparing early, companies can ensure compliance with CSRD reporting requirements and avoid potential fines and/or reputational damage.
