Practical questions.
Does support guarantee B Corp certification?
No. Your company must meet the applicable requirements and complete an independent assessment. We support your preparation; we do not award certification.
How long does the process take?
This depends on your starting point, required improvements and the independent assessment. After the initial review, we discuss the schedule and time needed from your team.
Which costs should we budget for?
Allow for support, internal time and B Lab’s own certification fees. Request a clearly scoped proposal and check B Lab’s current fees.
What do the new B Corp standards mean?
In 2025, B Lab introduced Foundation Requirements and minimum requirements across seven impact topics. A total score alone is not enough under this framework. The requirements for your company depend on factors including size, sector and transition arrangements.
B Corp or EcoVadis: which fits our needs?
B Corp is a company certification. EcoVadis provides a sustainability rating often requested by business customers. Your goals and customer requirements determine which route is relevant.
